	Overfill Protection Valve For Above Ground Storage Tanks

Smaller is better. To prove it, Vmι introduces the OFP-2 series of overfill protection valves. Higher flow rates with less pressure (See Flow Rates). Overall height of main valve is three inches shorter, allowing it to fit in virtually any spill containment pan.

140 GPM @ 30 PSI: CAUTION: The delivery truck pump must be equipped with a functioning pressure relief valve. Vmι recommends not exceeding 30 PSI delivery pressure. The hydraulic shock of an overfill shut-off may damage connecting hoses if excessive pressure is used.

One Valve, Any Tank: Product flow into the tank is shut down completely at any tank level desired. The shut down level is set by suspending the Float Actuated Pilot Valve to the desired level in the tank from the tank top.

Fuels:

●		Gasoline, 100% methanol, 100% ethanol****, up to 15% MTBE
●		Any combination of the above
●		#1 or #2 diesel, kerosene, Jet A or JP-4, AV Gas, and Biodiesel****

FUNCTIONAL TEST KIT


	No matter how well designed, Overfill Protection equipment fails at some point. To date, the only means to test the shutdown function of these valves in the field was to fill the tank above the equipment’s shut-off level. The OFP Functional Test Kit is the answer! Available as an option for new Vmι OFP-2 and OFP-3 installations, and available as a retrofit kit for Vmι installed equipment. Meets Uniform Fire Code (August, 1994), Article 79 Flammable and Combustible Liquids: "shut off the flow into the tank at 90% of capacity" and "means shall be provided to empty the fill hose into the tank after the automatic shut-off device is activated." Installation instructions provide plumbing details to complete this style of installation, additional part, OFP-1030 required.

Meets NFPA code 30A requirements for complete shutdown @ 98% fuel level.

CARB tested: Does not affect Stage 2 vapor recovery.

COMPONENTS: Shut-off Valve- 5 1/4" high, 4 1/4" wide, 2" female pipe threads in and 2" female pipe threads out; Pilot Valve and Float Assembly fits through a 4" pipe bung; Steel Bite (compression) fittings and steel tubing (two - 22" lengths) provided (cut to length in field) for mounting Pilot Valve; Bushing provided, 4" - 2\1 and 2\2 model, see 2\1 and 2\2 description below; U.L. listed compression fittings for copper tubing provided. Not provided; copper tubing, pipe nipples and pipe fittings, dry break\quick disconnect connectors.

COMPONENT OPTIONS: Part #OFP2-SSVS: Provides Stainless Steel Fittings and Stainless Steel Tubing for the OFP-2\1 and OFP-2\2 Valve when used with Biodiesel concentrations above 5%, Ethanol and Methanol concentrations above 20% and for Jet A, JP-4 and Aviation Gas.

Part #SS-113: Additional Stainless Steel Tubing for use with OFP2-SSVS when installing an OFP-2\2. Available by the foot.

Model 2\1: One 4" tank opening required. Shutdown Valve and Pilot Valve mount on a 4" x 2" male pipe thread bushing (provided). For use with 2" drop tube only.

Model 2\2: Requires two tank openings; one opening may be 2" or 3" and the second opening should be 4" (two 4" openings are acceptable). 4" pipe thread bushing provided. Requires a minimum of one 2" and one 4" opening.

CAUTION: Any fuel delivery pump, pumping fuel into a tank system equipped with an automatic shut-down device, must have a functioning pressure relief. Vaporless Manufacturing Inc. recommends 30 PSI relief pressure setting.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Equipment is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of eighteen (18) months from date of installation (see Warranty Card for details).
